Common questions
Which links does this work with?
Any Facebook video, Reel or Watch link that's set to public. If the poster restricted the video to friends or a group, the link won't resolve — that's Facebook's privacy setting working as intended.
Is it legal to download a Facebook video?
Saving a copy for personal, offline viewing of content you already have the right to view is generally fine. Re-uploading, redistributing or monetizing someone else's video without permission is not — see our disclaimer for the full picture.
Why did a link fail?
Usually because the video is private, was deleted, or Facebook changed how the page is structured on their end. Try copying the link again directly from the video's Share menu.
Do you keep a copy of my video?
No. The file streams from Facebook's servers to your device; we don't save it on ours. See the privacy policy for details.
